Chocolate Chip Protein Balls

Low carb energy balls packed with protein, flavor and a touch of sweetness.

Makes: ~8-10 balls

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup runny nut butter (I like peanut or cashew)

  • 1/3 cup vanilla beef isolate protein powder (Code: CAROLINEKAILWELLNESS)

  • 1/3 - 1/2 cup almond flour (start low and add more as needed)

  • 2 scoops unflavored collagen powder (Code: CAROLINEKAILWELLNESS)

  • 1-2 Tbsp nut milk (I use Vanilla NutPods)

  • Chocolate chips (try Lily’s stevia sweetened ones)

  • Flaky salt

  • Optional: 1-2 Tbsp honey or maple syrup (You can decide if you need this or not based on how sweet your protein powder is)

Instructions

  1. Combine nut butter, clean protein powder, almond flour, collagen powder and milk. Stir to combine. You may need a bit more milk, but start with just a little and increase as needed. Same goes for the almond flour.

  2. Now is a good time to taste it. Sweeten with a bit of honey or maple syrup if needed. If you’re using a sweetened protein powder though, you might not need it.

  3. Mix in chocolate chips and flaky salt.

  4. Form into balls and store in the fridge. You could also press these into a pan to create bars instead. If going this route, top with flaky salt at the end.
